6922 Hollywood is a 12-story, Class A office with ground-floor retail at the epicenter of Hollywood’s media and entertainment corridor. Built in 1967, the modern office has undergone extensive renovations to appeal to today’s media and technology tenants. Neighboring world-famous Hollywood landmarks, the property features large floor plans, abundant natural light and panoramic views.

Hudson Pacific is committed to owning and operating energy and water-efficient properties and reducing the environmental impact of its business operations. Hudson Pacific actively pursues innovative strategies to help measure and reduce these impacts through reporting and industry benchmarking protocols such as ENERGY STAR and LEED.
PROJECT BACKGROUND
As part of the company’s commitment to own and operate sustainable, high-performance properties, Hudson Pacific’s annual operations audit identified opportunities to improve water and energy consumption portfolio-wide. At 6922 Hollywood, the installation of a variable-frequency drive on the domestic water pump and upgrades to water-saving toilets, urinals and faucets resulted in 14% reduction in water use from the previous year.

COMPLETED
Installed a variable-frequency drive on the domestic water pump serving the entire building.
Switched to water saving toilets (53), urinals (13) and restroom faucets (12).
Plans currently underway to replace all faucets to water-saving models throughout the building.
Replaced existing chillers with smaller, more efficient chillers with variable speed drives on the motors.

STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT
Hudson Pacific conducted tenant surveys to identify ways to improve sustainable building operations and determine overall satisfaction with the program. Hudson Pacific then implemented ENERGY STAR’s Portfolio Manager to help track and assess areas of improvement. The property management team worked collaboratively with tenants, engineering, maintenance and the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power to ensure sustainability goals were achieved.

Installations were key in reducing water usage, contributing to Hudson’s overall goal of reducing water consumption by five percent across the portfolio.
